軋輥產(chǎn)生彈性壓扁時(shí)可能軋制的板厚。在一定軋機(jī)上軋制一定的產(chǎn)品時(shí)，隨著板帶的逐漸變薄，壓下越來(lái)越困難。當(dāng)板帶薄至某一限度后，不管如何旋緊壓下螺絲或加大液壓壓下的壓力，不管反復(fù)軋制多少道，由于軋輥產(chǎn)生彈性壓扁而不可能再使產(chǎn)品變薄。TheuseoflowstrengthgrayironrollsintheMiddleAgeswhenrollingsoftnonferrousmetals。這一極限厚度稱為可軋厚度。

按軋輥材質(zhì)分有鋼軋輥、鑄鐵軋輥、硬質(zhì)合金軋輥、陶瓷軋輥等；按制造方法分有鑄造軋輥、鍛造軋輥、堆焊軋輥、鑲套軋輥等；按所軋鋼材狀態(tài)分有熱軋輥、冷軋輥。各種分類可以相應(yīng)組合而使軋輥有更明確的含義，如熱軋帶鋼用離心鑄造高鉻鑄鐵工作輥。

According to the rolled steel status, there are hot rollers and cold rollers. Various classificati can be combined to make the roll more explicit, such as the casting of high chromium cast iron working roll for hot rolled strip.

軋輥的無(wú)損檢測(cè)通常用超聲波探傷儀進(jìn)行。冷軋輥探傷標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中通常把輥身依受力情況分成表面區(qū)、中心區(qū)和中間區(qū)，然后依斷裂力學(xué)原理分別規(guī)定各區(qū)允許存在的缺陷的臨界尺寸。

Nondestructive testing of rolls is usually carried out by ultrasonic flaw detectors. In the testing standard of cold roll, the roll body is usually divided into the surface area, the center area and the middle area according to the force condition, and then the critical dimensi of the defects are allowed in each area according to the principle of fracture mechanics.
