銅鼎是我國傳統的器具，距今已經有幾千年的歷史了，我國銅鼎有：
3.太保方鼎：在清朝道光、先鋒年間出土，鼎高57.8厘米，口徑 23×36厘米，方形，二直耳，折唇，淺腹，平底；口立雙豎耳，耳上有相峙的雙龍；耳外側和龍身上飾鱗紋，腹部飾獸面紋和三角紋。
4.司母戊鼎，是我國的青銅器，司母戊鼎器形龐大渾厚，是中國目前已發現的重的青銅器，是商王祖庚或祖甲為祭祀其母所鑄。經測定，司母戊鼎含銅84.77%、錫11.64%、鉛27.9%，與古文獻記載制鼎的銅錫比例基本相符。造型雄奇，肩、腹部與足部作為一體被巧妙地設計成四只卷角羊，各據一隅，在莊靜中突出動感，匠心獨運。司母戊鼎充分顯示出商代青銅鑄造業的生產規模和技術水平。

關于“鼎”的來歷及作用：鼎本來是古代的烹飪之器，相當于現在的鍋，用以燉煮和盛放魚肉。許慎在《說文解字》里說：“鼎，三足兩耳，和五味之寶器也。”有三足圓鼎，也有四足方鼎。早的鼎是黏土燒制的陶鼎，后來又有了用青銅鑄造的銅鼎。幾千年來，鼎在中華物質文化史中占有重要地位，是中華民族文化的象征之一。傳說夏禹曾收九牧之金鑄九鼎于荊山之下，以象征九州，讓人們警惕，防止被其傷害。自從有了禹鑄九鼎的傳說，鼎就從一般的炊器而發展為傳國重器。國滅則鼎遷，夏朝滅，商朝興，九鼎遷于商都亳（bó）京；商朝滅，周朝興，九鼎又遷于周都鎬（hào）京。
