（二）泵蓋是泵與進水管相連的零件，其端面與葉輪之間留有規定的軸向端面間隙（在消除軸承軸向活動間隙以后，保持規定的軸向間隙）。間隙過小產生磨擦，過大則會導致泵內壓力水回流，使泵的效率降低，通過增減調整紙墊達到規定的間隙。
